This delicate locket features miniature butterflies flying across the reverse side with an elegant filigree and enamel butterfly on the front which opens, Tryptych style from the center with each side of the butterfly hinged on the sides to allow it to open from the center.  The large butterfly front opens to reveal a wonderfully delicate bouquet of flowers, arranged in a basket, dangling from a gilded chain.  This delicate surprise can be routed through a tiny aperture at the bottom of the doors which can then be closed to allow the wearer to display the locket (closed) with the surprise dangling out.  Masterful in its unique styling and workmanship, this locket is a wonderful addition to any collection.
